Great River SHRM was chartered as an affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in November 1991. Great River SHRM serves the
Iowa/Illinois Metro Quad Cities and surrounding areas.
Our Mission: To elevate HR in the Metro Quad Cities and surrounding areas.
Since its beginning, Great River SHRM has attracted the Quad Cities’ top Human Resource professionals and has continued to develop into a progressive organization that offers it members informative and relevant programming, networking opportunities, and access to HR professionals at all levels and in all types of organizations.
The organization keeps its members informed of current HR job opportunities, offers study groups for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification, and encourages HR professionals to take advantage of the professional and personal development opportunities that cover all facets of HR-related issues.
Great River SHRM invites guest speakers to monthly meetings and roundtables to present topics that are relevant to everyone from the strategic HR Professional to the HR Generalist. The Chapter has proudly earned numerous Superior Merit Awards from SHRM for chapter activities every year since its inception. Our board is engaged, innovative, and welcoming.
